RAW: natural born artists is an independent arts organization that hand-selects and spotlights independent creatives in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair and makeup artistry, models, photography and performing art so that they might be SEEN, HEARD, and LOVED.
RAW’s mission is to provide up-and-coming artists of all creative realms—when others might not—with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity. RAW educates, connects and exposes emerging artists in 17 artistic communities nationwide. Based in Los Angeles, RAW launched to these 17 cities across the States in February of this year, creating more opportunities for underground artists of all types to grow. We want to unify artists everywhere and grow the creative community at-large.
“With a changing industry in every way I really see a response to grassroots efforts more than mass media. I believe people and artists are really beginning to realize the power they have, why not just D.I.Y? RAW is here to really incubate and support that individual mission,” RAW Founder, Heidi Luerra says.

www.RAWartists.org is designed to showcase our RAW artists online. RAW hosts a plethora of online profiles, exclusive to our hand-picked RAW artists. RAW artists can connect with other RAW artists, post videos, music and promote upcoming projects, upcoming events and track their success.

RAW Nashville Director, Amanda Herdina comments, “The fact that RAW is here in Nashville is such a great opportunity for these undiscovered artists—in all genres of the art communities. The city is quite overwhelmed with talent, but there’s such a huge population that doesn't know what to do or how to market this talent. I want to awaken the city to the creative elements hidden in people’s garages and basements. I want to break the stereotype that Nashville is only Honky Tonk! I want my artists to create and continue to expand their following— getting their work out in the world to be seen!”
